How to Solve an Error Which Pop Up While Opening Password-Protected xlsx

Password-protected excel (.xlsx)file sometime refuse to open with correct password and gives an error message such as "Excel cannot open the file "(Name).xlsx" because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file".
